Over the next 12 - 24 months there will be strategic opportunities for artists to participate in “Calls to Artists” so they can be considered for inclusion in the Harris Health Lyndon B. Johnson Campus Expansion project.

Call to Artists: LBJ Expansion Hospital - Garage Facade Project

On behalf of Harris Health, art consultants Davis Cohen Art (DCA) invite Harris County (Texas) artists to submit their qualifications for consideration to participate in the LBJ Expansion Hospital - Garage Facade Project.

DCA encourages artists and artist teams to thoroughly research Harris Health, including its history, strategic plan, and communities it serves within Harris County.

The design for the garage facade decorative screening system will be immediately iconic, setting the tone for the entire campus while welcoming patients, their families and staff. Monumental in scale, this design will be integrated into the multi-level parking garage’s decorative screening system. Please note that the technical aspects of fabricating and installing the decorative screening system are not included in the artist’s scope; these will be managed by the construction team. The artist will be providing the design document; therefore, the project contract and budget resembles a licensing agreement.
